NEWCASTE EAGLES SIGN EX-CHESHIRE GUARD STUART THOMSON

Newcastle Eagles have signed guard Stuart Thomson after a spell at Cheshire Phoenix finished at the end of the 2012-13 season.

The 25-year-old is the brother of former Eagles player Andy Thomson, and has British Basketball League experience with Worcester and Cheshire.
Prior to a stint in the BBL, Thomson played college basketball in the United States with Catawba Indians.
"We are looking forward to working with him greatly," said coach Fab Flournoy.
"Stu has wing athleticism, solid perimeter defence and he can shoot the ball."
Thomson added: "I'm looking forward to taking the next step forward in my career with a team with such a great history."
