Just three months after Solange beat Jay Z up in an elevator after the Met Gala, Beyonce and Jay appeared to keep their distance at the MTV VMAs, Aug. 25, and they weren’t photographed or seen together once!
Was it just a coincidence that Beyonce, 32, and Jay Z, 44, were seated no where near her younger sister, Solange Knowles at the MTV VMAs? Solange was definitely there, and she even walked the carpet. It was a huge night for her big sis, who was awarded the highly coveted Vanguard Award and performed a 15-song medley. Even longtime pal and former Destiny’s Child star, Kelly Rowland, sat alongside Jay and Blue Ivy. So why didn’t Solange sit there with them?

Beyonce & Jay Z — Avoid Solange Knowles At The VMAs
In recent months, the family have all been spotted out together, appearing to put on a united front
But on such a big night for Beyonce, don’t you think Solange should have sat with the family? She did last year.
Bey and Jay have been to New Orleans twice to see Solange, get photographed and have lunch. But it all seems like a bit of a photo op in hindsight. Beyonce even referenced the elevator fight in her song, “Flawless,” during the award show.
Jay and Blue presented Beyonce with her award, and she cried. She called Jay her “beloved” and said she loved him and Blue — they even kissed! It seemed like they were trying to put their split rumors to rest.

In case you need a refresher, here you go. Solange was seen on elevator surveillance footage beating up Jay Z. She kicked, punched and hit him repeatedly as Beyonce just stood by. HollywoodLife.com told you that it was because of his “too close” relationship with fashion designerRachel Roy. Page Six also stated that it was because Jay wanted to go to an after party hosted by Rihanna, later that night
