Jokate was born in Washington DC, America, where her Parents were working in the year 1987. She completed her Primary school level at Olympio Primary School, Dar es salaam, Tanzania, and her Secondary Level at St Anthony Secondary School and her High School at Loyola High School, and also her University level at University Of Dar es salaam enrolling in Political Science
In the year 2006 she was among the Miss Tanzania contestants and she was the 2nd, She is also among the talented actress in Tanzania and also a Fashion Designer, Master of Ceremony "MC", Musician, and Tv host
