Theo Walcott is set to make his comeback – against Tottenham.
The Arsenal striker sustained a knee injury playing against Spurs in the FA Cup last January.
Now the 25-year-old is fully fit again and his first league game in eight months is likely to be the north London derby on September 27.
The England marksman’s rehabilitation has gone well and Arsenal feel he could be ready for the start of a crucial three-match programme that will have a major impact on their domestic and European season.
After Spurs, Arsenal face Turkish club Galatasaray in the Champions League at the Emirates on October 1.
The following Sunday, Arsenal take on Chelsea.
Manager Arsene Wenger is hoping to have Walcott back to link up with Danny Welbeck, who signed for £16million Manchester United on transfer deadline day.
